Crabtree & Evelyn London La Source Hydra Marine Nourishing Oil

The new La Source range from Crabtree & Evelyn has been created with algae, mineral salts and seaweed and is intended to “immerse you in spa-like rituals,” inspired by the sea. The collection not only looks beautiful but smells amazing too, with the nourishing oil containing sea lavender, argan, rice bran, apricot kernel, sesame seed oils and of course green seaweed. This is a great all-round product which can be used on face, body and hair – so good for taking on holiday with you too.

REN Atlantic Kelp & Magnesium Anti-Fatigue Body Wash

This was bought for me by a friend for my birthday. Not only does it smell delicious, but apparently you can absorb magnesium through your skin as well (if not better) than ingesting. According to Natural News, more than 80% of us are not getting enough magnesium, with the symptoms being anything from headaches to PMS.

Frances Prescott Tri-Balm

Frances Prescott Tri-Balm is a brand new product and has been described as “the ultimate multi-functional facial balm” which is a triple action cleanser, exfoliator and moisturiser in one. It comes in a balm (as the name implies), so is non-spill and great for traveling too.

You can massage the stick on to cleanse/exfoliate but also leave it on as an intense moisture mask. Ingredients are derived from plants and include NorOmega Gold oil, blackcurrant, starflower, echium and oat extract. The product has been created by British make-up artist Frances Prescott and her sister Pauline, which they say was “driven by the desire to simplify skincare routines in a fast moving, no time to spare world”.

Design In Scent The Wedding Collection

If only perfume could tell a story…well it can with new fragrance brand Design In Scent. Launched by perfumers Gemma Hopkins and Meghan Fay (who previously worked on purely a couture basis creating signature scents for VIP clients and events), the new website allows customers to create their own wedding fragrance journey.

With four options for ‘Fragrance Journeys’ the collection consists of perfumes, candles and ambience mists that can be used to wear, scent invitations, the air, confetti and linen. I’m a huge fan of scent, I think the power of smell can take you back to a certain time and bring with it beautiful, happy memories, in a similar way that music does. I love the idea of scenting your invitations with a perfume that is special to you and which the guests will also smell when they enter the reception.

Arbonne RE9 Advanced Collection

Arbonne RE9 Advanced is the brand’s premium anti-ageing collection, but it can be used for all-skin types too. A friend was given some products for her birthday and kindly lent them to me to try out. The range focuses on a 5-step skincare routine, which features a Facial Cleanser, Toner, Serum, Eye Cream, Day Cream and Night Repair Cream. It has had impressive results in clinical trials to back up the claims, with 92% of people reporting a reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles after just a week.

Talking to one of their reps, I feel like it’s the kind of brand you buy into in a big way. Using botanical ingredients and vitamin C, the products not only work but smell good and feel great on the skin too. I even tried out their Cellular Renewal Mask, which actually made my skin quite pink after removing it but wow, did it work. After the slight redness went down my forehead looked tight and smooth. I just wouldn’t wear it if you’re going out straight after.
