REVIEW: Simmons Bar, Camden Town

REVIEW: Simmons Bar, Camden Town

WHAT? Camden’s newest late-night bar, where the music’s always loud and the drinks are always cheap (especially Monday to Friday!).

WHERE? Simmons Bars’ newest addition is yards from Camden Town tube station – ideal for stumbling to the chippie across the road, then grabbing the last train home.

WHY GO? Are you listening carefully? Simmons’ Happy Hour is FIVE hours long – and takes place every Sunday through to Friday.

This isn’t the place to take a date (good luck hearing them over Drake and Rihanna – in any case, you won’t want to) and while there’s a food menu featuring fried chicken by Famous Flames, we’d recommend popping in for cocktails and a boogie.

HOW MUCH? Drinks are unbelievably cheap, from £2.50 for bottles of beer and glasses of wine (and only £10 a bottle, no less), to two cocktails for £10.

Choose from Bikini Martinis, Mojitos and Mirrorballs (all £5) or order outside the Happy Hour selection and try classics including Espresso Martinis, Grasshoppers, Cosmos and White Russians. Feel like pushing the boat out? Chinntzy cocktail teapots (ideal for sharing) are only £15.
