Fragrance Testing With Coach For Their Debut Perfume

Coach celebrated their new perfume with a fragrance testing breakfast at Morton’s Club in London’s Berkeley Square.

I had a chat to their head perfumer who talked me through their debut scent, which was inspired by “the spontaneous energy and downtown style of New York City.”

The fragrance comprises three layers: vibrant raspberry leaf, authentic Turkish rose and cool suede musk which come together to create a soft yet fresh scent. You get the care-free spirit that Coach talks about, without it being too sickly sweet.

I’m a big fan of the perfume, I’m normally drawn towards fresher, citrus, unisex scents (especially for the summer) but this definitely has a softer feminine feel which really works.

“I wanted to create a fragrance that represents Coach’s free-spirited attitude, crafting a scent that is individual, authentic and cool.” Coach creative director, Stuart Vevers

Coach The Fragrance is available nationwide, £35 for 30ml.
