WINE TASTING: Marques De Casa Concha With The Spectator Magazine
Listen up, grape lovers – there’s a gorgeous wine tasting event happening this week (Thursday 16th June) and we promise it’ll exceed all expectations.
London’s The Clerkenwell will welcome Marcelo Papa, one of Chile’s most highly renowned winemakers, to the UK to hold a one-off seated wine tasting of Marques de Casa Concha wines with The Spectator Magazine.
An evening of foodie frolics and perfect Instagram fodder, the event promises a tasty canapé served up to match each wine. Honestly, we can’t think of a better way to start the weekend early.
Concha y Toro’s Marques de Casa Concha range is a collection of top quality single-vineyard wines made by the guest winemaker, who’s looked after the collection for over 10 years and made it his mission to produce modern wines using classic methods.
The range includes Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah and Carmenère, and for each varietal Marcelo has selected specific growing regions that express the most desirable characteristics of the terroir.
Marcelo is currently experimenting with his wines, to pioneer a fresher and more elegant style for Chile. Be sure to sample the Cabernet Sauvignon, using larger oak casks and earlier picking, safe in the knowledge that Marcelo’s aim is to only make wines that he enjoys himself. We can get on board with that. See you there!
Tickets: £25 each
