REVIEW: Bottomless Brunch at Rocket, Bishopsgate
Always on the lookout for a new brunch spot, Rocket’s new bottomless weekend offer looked more than tempting. Hot-dinners.com got our attention with promise of unlimited Proseccos, Bellinis or Bloody Marys (for 90 minutes) at £15, and 2-4-1 on food too – we booked a Saturday morning visit, leaving fit to burst and more than a little tipsy.
Rocket’s brunch menu mixes standard fare (Full English, pastries) with signature offerings (it’s all about the pizza at this City staple, and breakfast is no exception – check out the sourdough offering covered in eggs, mushrooms, spinach and bacon) but you’re at liberty to choose from the A La Carte menu, too.
We opted for a Steak and chips salad to share (yep, chips *in* the salad, and those are courgette fritters scattered on top) alongside a chicken and caramelised onion pizza, washed down with plenty of Prosecco.
Not our healthiest of choices, but a wonderful Saturday morning treat (before a guilty gym trip at least). If you fancy for something less heavy, we have it on good authority the sweet potato and lamb skewers are fab too.
If you’re looking for a weekend catch up away from the bustle of Shoreditch (but within walking distance, because… shopping) this is a great little spot to have up your sleeve.
