Dial Up A Home Massage? I Review City Swish

With a new baby daughter and now back at work running FashionBite and freelancing, I find my evenings and weekends increasingly busy- which is great! – but it means any pamper time or spa trip has to be organised way in advance.

Step up City Swish, a new online massage/beauty firm that will come direct to your home or office with therapists that do massages, hair/beauty treatments, spray tans…you name it. The process couldn’t be simpler too, you just state the treatment you want, date/time and address and then pay online – so there’s no faffing around with money.

For stressed out, time poor Mum’s looking for a bit or pampering, this seems like a good solution. You can put the kids to bed, swiftly followed by some gorgeous spa treatments – without even having to leave your front door.

The down side of it being at home though is you don’t get to escape for the day and sometimes half the relaxation is being somewhere different, without the normal home stresses. But, if you have a partner that works all hours and getting a sitter is not so easy, then this seems like a happy medium.

If you also work long hours and find it difficult to squeeze in a treatment, then coming home to one seems like a good solution. Or if you’ve got a work event, you can book the therapist to come to your office instead.

I had an exfoliating mud wrap (pictured mid-wrap in my kitchen, above), which was superb. After a full body exfoliation, I was covered in a mud mask and wrapped in clear film, then massaged with oil. My skin felt great afterwards, a good way to prep for summer exposure too. (A massage is £65 for an hour.)
