Selfridges London Fashion Week Beauty Survival Kit
Thanks to the fabulous team at Selfridges, I arrived home to this awesome London Fashion Week beauty survival kit, full of gorgeous goodies to help see me through the long days. Thanks guys!
Dry shampoo is a total necessity (that and a hat!) during Fashion Week and is a great way to give your hair a lift halfway through the day, or when you’re heading straight out to a party. Chatting to hair stylists backstage at the shows, dry shampoo also features in their essentials kits – they use it on a lot on the models’ hair to give it volume and bounce at the roots. Selfridges sent me the Show Beauty dry shampoo, which is not one I’ve tried before, so I’ll report back.
I was also excited to try out the new Byredo Blanche hair perfume, exclusive to Selfridges it doesn’t actually launch until March 2 and it smells absolutely amazing! Ok, it’s a little bit decadent, but come on hair needs perfume too right? I only needed a few sprays and the scent seemed to last the whole day, every time my hair moved I caught a waft and it was lovely.
You can’t get much more decadent than a Caviar skin serum and it was such a treat to be sent La Prairie’s Liquid lift. After a just few days my skin is feeling amazing, the serum lifts and tightens and it gives the effect of when I’ve just had a facial. It’s not cheap, but it’s v. good.
I haven’t included this in the image, but they also sent some of the Vitamin C Ole Henriksen cleansing wipes– you just need to smell the vitamins in these wipes and your skin already feels brighter. I’ve been using one each morning as a toner and they really help wake you up, great for removing bits of eye make-up left over from the night before too.
Tomorrow morning I’m up bright and early (5am to be exact!) for a 7am start at Somerset House. I write for Jasper Conran and manage his Twitter account during London Fashion Week and his show starts at 10am, so it’s an early start for all the team.
