Decorating the nursery…Farrow & Ball!
Since buying our first home in London a few years ago, I have to admit to developing a mild obsession with Farrow & Ball. The beautiful hues, creatively named colours and being a more porous paint, better to use for Victorian properties, I’m sold.
Much to the boyfriend’s delight, our walls are now named delightful colours such as Cooking Apple Green, Charleston Gray, Elephant’s Breath and now most recently Dayroom Yellow for the nursery.
Having being patiently pregnant for the last 7 months (read my post: 7 Things You Should Know About Pregnancy!), I have loved putting my mind to designing and planning the nursery. On a recent trip to Dorset, I found a couple of vintage 1940’s small suitcases (now laid on top of the oak bookshelf) and a Victorian enamel jug, which I’ve filled with dried lavender from a local Kentish farm.
The furniture is from Mama’s and Papa’s (Harbour 3-piece set in ivory), we’ve opted for a Bugaboo pram and the rocking chair is vintage, which I’ve sanded down and painted in Farrow & Ball’s Wimborne White.
Just waiting for the new arrival now..!
