A Lingerie Fitting With Triumph…
Triumph has pledged to fit 100,000 people worldwide (10,000 in the UK) with their perfect bra this year to celebrate its centenary year. It’s a big promise, so I headed down to their Covent Garden pop-up boutique #MaisonTriumph to find out a bit more.
I was staggered when the team told me that over 75% of women wear the wrong bra size, with nearly the same number saying that badly fitting lingerie can really affect their day-to-day confidence. I have to say, I’m a big culprit of this. I can’t remember the last time I had my bra size measured.

I have a friend who’s Mum diligently takes her lingerie shopping every six months or so to get measured. She is a larger bra size though, so maybe there’s more of a need in the plus-size cups to do this, but in general I think we’re all quite bad at it.
Part of Triumph’s Stand Up For Fit (SUFF) Campaign is also about boosting women’s confidence in general, which I’m a huge advocate of. It is part of a wider campaign, called ‘Women in Making’ which includes collaborations with inspirational women such as designers Roksanda Ilincic and Sophia Webster.

As part of Women In Making, Triumph is also hosting a bunch of day workshops at its Maison Triumph pop-up, such as bag making or embellishment. You can find out more details on the ‘Women in Making’ page.
After having a browse around the beautiful store, I particularly liked the new Helena Christensen collection (below) – so pretty! – I was taken to get fitted.
I’d normally wear a 34 B/C cup but it turns out I’m actually 36 D/DD… so totally out there! I’ve been wearing my new bra this week and it has made a huge different. I feel a lot more secure and strapped in than I have previously.
After being fitted, I had my photo snapped in the Triumph booth…
As it was Triumph’s press day too, we were all treated to a delicious selection of lunch treats…
