Boots for Springtime walks

Boots for Springtime walks

Spring has finally sprung, and with those elusive ‘summer bodies’ looming at the back of our minds, we’ve taken to walking. Lots of walking.

While the weather isn’t quite up to shorts and T-shirts just yet, we thought it would be  a good idea to invest in some sturdy, warm boots to get us through windy walks, the odd rain shower and flurries of snow come our next ski holiday.

Karimoor have a great range of long and short boots,  so that was our first point of call – we plumped for the Beaufort style, as the Weathertite construction provides a waterproof finish, and the faux fur lining is super warm. We love the slip on/off design, and the colour goes with pretty much anything – great for the perilous walk to dinner from the ski chalet in driving snow, and equally good for hilly walks in the British countryside.

We tested ours on the South Downs in East Sussex, before heading to Le Magasin for lunch – a gorgeous little cafe we highly recommend. If you have time, be sure to have a look around the antique shops on the high street too – there are some real gems to be found (we snapped up a beautiful antique Oliver typewriter for £49!)
