Fortnum & Mason Opens At St Pancras International

Fortnum & Mason St Pancras

Back in September, Boris Johnson’s £550m revamp of one of London’s busiest train stations was finally revealed, with a new square opening outside King’s Cross and St Pancras stations and a total rebuild of the station’s concourse. Surrounding hotels and businesses have taken the opportunity to give themselves a facelift too (there are two new retail units bursting with great shops), but we weren’t particularly excited about any of them until now.

Fortnum & Mason, food emporium and haven for tea lovers in Piccadilly for the last 307 years, have now opened a new store in The Arcade, taking over the former glass-fronted Eurostar ticket office. Offering a specially edited range of exquisite Fortnum & Mason products, and even better, an elegant all-day dining room and tea salon, it’ll provide much needed respite from the buzzing surrounds.

We can’t wait to head down there for a cup or two of our favourite loose leaf tea with homemade scones and jam, and love the fact Fortnum’s signature hampers are available – the perfect last minute gift for relatives being visited overseas. Customers can design their own in store using iPads, and there’s even a special range of products designed for travellers to grab on the go. Bon voyage!
