The Beauty Brands Behind-The-Scenes At LFW

Beauty brands have long associated themselves with London Fashion Week, sponsoring the backstage areas and front of house goody bags, hoping to scoop-up some of the kudos that Fashion Week brings. So, it’s no surprise that this year was one of the biggest seasons to date in terms of beauty tie-ups. I’ve picked out some highlights…

St Tropez At Topshop

Topshop ss14, london fashion week

St Tropez was backstage at the Topshop Unique show, spraying the models (including Jourdan Dunn and Cara Delevingne) into bronzed summer goddesses. They looked stunning, so definitely a thumbs up from us!

Bourjois at Zoe Jordan

Rocking a touch of blue kohl in the corner of the lower eyes (I love a blue Kohl eye!), Bourjois was backstage at Zoe Jordan providing the make-up and nails for the show.

Burberry Beauty At Burberry cara-burberry-ss14-nails-pale-yellow

Burberry took to the catwalk with its own in-house beauty brand for the first time ever this season, realising that its’ globally viewed catwalk show is the perfect platform to showcase its new Burberry Beauty line, alongside the gorgeous fashion of course. Clever guys! Cara rocked pale yellow nails, check out this beauty report from Really Ree to see the look in more detail. (Image Credit: pic courtesy of

MAC At Somerset House

The MAC make-up room has been a long standing area in the London Fashion Week press room, offering journalists and bloggers a chance to get their make-up done in between shows. This is a god send if you have a tonne of parties to go to in the evening and have been up since the crack of dawn attending back to back shows. As tweeted by LibertyLondonGirl this season: “Favourite place in Somerset House: the Mac Cosmetics make-up bar…” (Image Credit: pic courtesy of PearlsandPoddles, who had a MAC masterclass there – read all about it on her blog)

Kure Bazaar At Marios Schwab

Kure Bazaar was the brand behind Marios Schwab’s show (pictured top), showcasing “contour” nails with Pure Gold and Mon Bleu on a base of nude Beige Milk. Manicurist Marian Newman said: “The nail look was inspired by the soft silhouette and sculptural patterns that flowed throughout the fabrics.” I adore the Kure Bazaar brand, I was the first to review it – check out my article HERE>

ORLY Beauty at Meadham Kirchoff

ORLY Beauty kept things simple backstage at Meadham Kirchoff and let the fashion and hair do all the talking, as nails were painted with a slick of Dare to Bare. Understated and clean – a great look.
