Strawberry Tea & Top Hats In Spitalfields?
The Royal Albert Strawberry Tea Tour sponsored Breast Cancer Care in the sweetest style, with a free day of afternoon tea and vintage dress-up fun. Guest Reporter Jessica Evans writes…
Floral bunting, top hats, feather boas, pearls and a pink ice cream van all created the theme for an outdoors vintage tea party in Spitalfields, raising money for Breast Cancer Care. Accessorises were scattered on every table, along with donations boxes, so people could play dress-up as they soaked up the afternoon tea experience, whilst donating as much or as little as possible to a worthy cause.
Groups of friends, families and couples were able to walk into the event from the street, without any bookings needed and were greeted by enthusiastic staff, dressed in vintage clothing, who were more than helpful to get people cake and refills.
There was a variety of herbal teas to choose from and each table was given a three-tiered cake stand with delicious strawberry desserts. The event also gifted Royal Albert antique style oyster cardholders, for each guest to take away as a token of the event.
What better way to raise money for a fantastic cause with heaps of gorgeous cake, tea and frivolity?
