FashionBite is London-based, but we do like to branch out and highlight some of the cool stuff happening in Cities across the UK when possible. Guest Reporter Catherine Lavinia picks out some of her top night spots in Liverpool…

Whether it’s for a hen weekend or a special birthday, nights out are going nationwide as people branch out to sample the UK’s legendary party scene. Previously voted Britain’s best nightlife destination in a TripAdvisor poll (above Manchester, London and Belfast) Liverpool is one of clubbing’s best kept secrets. Whether you’re a raver or a rocker, Liverpool has a club that will be right up your street, as well as a whole host of popular pubs and bars.

Cavern Club

The legendary Cavern Club (Mathew Street, L2 6RE) is where the Beatles first gained recognition in their hometown, and if you’re a fan of live music you can see a variety of bands every day and night on the venue’s front stage. Enthusiastic reviewers describe an electric atmosphere, great live music and well-priced drinks at the birthplace of British pop music.

For dance and house music fans, Nation (Wolstenholme Square, L1 4JJ) is the spiritual home to renowned club night, Cream. With playlists influenced by well-known Cream DJs like Paul Oakenfold and Fatboy Slim and a capacity of nearly 3,500, any night at Nation is bound to be a memorable one.

Voodoo Rooms

Voodoo Rooms (Slater Street, L1 4BS) is Liverpool’s top urban music venue, and clubbers can make any party a VIP experience by booking a private booth in advance. VIP booths and even cocktail making classes are also on offer at Igloo Cocktail Bar (Wood Street, L1 4DQ), which is a popular destination for visitors due to the excellent service, cool music and, of course, wide selection of cocktails.

Heebie Jeebies

Heebie Jeebies (Seel Street, L1 4BH) is recognised as one of Liverpool’s best clubs by tourists and locals alike. With an eclectic selection of music, you could find yourself dancing to anything from funk classics to ’60s and ’70s pop hits, but whatever the DJ’s playing, a good night is guaranteed to be had by all.
