Fashion & Poker? How To Dress For Vegas
Fashion is not something that immediately springs to mind when I think of poker – I think of men, gambling halls, smoky rooms and drinking. But having spent a week in Las Vegas two years ago, the outfits that used to grace the casino tables in the more upmarket clubs were as decadent and glamorous as they come. Think the uber-vampy Berenice Marlohe in Skyfall…and who wouldn’t want to look like that?
Vegas has become the go-to party destination for the rich and famous in America [Kim Kardashian seems to spend most of her weekends there attending one party or another!] and with malls of designer labels to shop, the outfit you wear is just as important as the game (well, for us anyway!)
For that glam-Casino look, tap into the goth-trend for Winter (seen at the likes of Givenchy for AW12/13) with berry red lips and nails, black velvet or leather, sheer paneling and definitely floor length…well, you never know – you might snag James Bond in the process!
If you live outside the US however, and don’t have Vegas on your doorstep, you can still dress up to the max, pour yourself a glass of wine and head online to visit the likes of the fashion icon and poker Barbie Lacey Jones for some style and poker inspiration.
