Tom Ford has revealed plans for his catwalk show at London Fashion Week next month, which includes doing a u-turn on his ban of photography and bloggers!
The designer is set to debut a large-scale catwalk show during LFW, the first time he has shown on such a scale. The Tom Ford presentation last season was small, closely guarded and infamous for its ban on any photography during the show. READ MORE HERE>>
The designer told Times magazine his London Fashion Week runway show is “going to be for 500 to 1,000 people. Photographers, bloggers – a regular, real show. The company has jumped and I can no longer service the stores by not showing. So I have to love it and embrace it,” he added.
He also went on to reveal his reasons for showing in London…
“I hope it works here [in London], because my dream goal is to raise my children here,” he said, referring to his new son with partner Richard Buckley. “I’m very old fashioned, When I was little, I was brought up to say, ‘Hello, Mr Ford’, ‘Hello Mrs so-and-so’, ‘Sir and ma’am’. I want that for my children,” he added. “I’m only here 180 days [of the year], but I like the humour, the formality, the manners, the irreverence in England.”
..and we welcome you!
