FIRST LOOK: Mulberry’s NEW SS13 Campaign

Mulberry launches its new spring/summer ’13 campaign, inspired by the ethereal colour palette of Emma Hill’s SS13 collection.

Shot by renowned British photographer Tim Walker, starring model Meghan Collison and directed by Art Director Ronnie Cooke Newhouse the shoot features key looks from the new season collection including English tailoring, coats and capes layered over dresses, classic outerwear and leather work. The new Willow Tote, the Cecily and Cecily Flower Tote are also featured, as well as Mulberry’s icon Bayswater bag.

The campaign was shot at Copped Hall, a derelict Georgian mansion outside London. Ronnie Cooke Newhouse said: “Mulberry campaigns always tell a fantastical story. The Spring Summer 2013 campaign is located in a kind of lunar landscape below the sea…in a world that almost exists but may be more of a beautiful dream.”

Tim Walker added: “This season I wanted to focus on the girl as part of the landscape rather than a character within it and, as such, casting was crucial… thus the pictures of Meghan Collison become more like portraits. Meghan Collison was the perfect choice, strong, confident, able to hold your gaze but almost otherworldly, she inhabits a dreamscape.”
