‘BRILLIANT BRITAIN’ – Mulberry’s Love Letter To The Nation

‘BRILLIANT BRITAIN’ – Mulberry’s Love Letter To The Nation

It’s been an incredible year for Britain, and an even better one for Mulberry. The iconic brand, now synonymous with British heritage, is well known for drawing inspiration from everything wonderful about our country. From beautiful wild forests to cute little garden gnomes, Mulberry pick up on the best of Britain’s loveable quirks to create outstanding new collections. We adore the AW12 ‘Where The Wild Things Are’ theme, bringing back long-lost childhood memories of playing in the garden and getting lost in fairytales.

The luxury brand has now created a guide to all that makes Britain a wonderful place to be, as a thank you to the nation for its continued success. Inspired by the British government’s GREAT campaign to promote Britain on an international scale, ‘Brilliant Britain’ hopes to draw attention to the country’s unsung heroes, undiscovered places, people and talents.

Editor Henrietta Thompson has curated Brilliantbritainguide.com, a list of the best landscapes, architecture, craft, food, people, traditions and innovations in the country for Mulberry fans to peruse. Nominations came from British luminaries including Tim Walker, Alexandra Shulman, Alain de Bottom and Tom Parker Bowles.

Edited highlights from the website have been produced as a bespoke printed booklet, which will launch in Mulberry stores throughout the UK and Europe in October, with Asia and the United States to follow. Can’t wait to see it!

Visitors to the website can also nominate their favourite places. With the help of the public, the aim is to collect all submitted recommendations to create an interactive map of ‘Brilliant Britain’, fit to burst with amazing places to see, events to attend and shops to browse. So exciting.

Fancy entering? The best nominations from the public will be curated into a ‘Your Brilliant Britain’ gallery on the website, and all featured nominations are automatically entered into an exclusive competition to win a ‘handbag of British curiosities’. Curated by Mulberry, this is the ultimate goody bag, containing strange and wonderful things gathered from brands and people featured in the guide. What we’d do to get our hands on one of those – we’d better get our thinking caps on…

To enter, visit BrilliantBritainGuide.com. Good luck!
