Top 5 Gifts For Boyfriends

top 5 gifts for boyfriends at FashionBite

This week, I was faced with the perpetually difficult task of buying my boyfriend a birthday present.  I absolutely love buying gifts for my friends and family, but I find it tough to land on one thing in particular and can never seem to stick to a budget. After much deliberation I decided to take the opportunity to expand the horizons of my boyfriend’s wardrobe… never an easy task, so I started my research early. I spent a good few hours trawling through some of my favourite websites, and soon stumbled across some great pieces. I came away feeling really inspired – hope you do, too!

I began my search at FashionBite favourite, an online marketplace for independent fashion boutiques worldwide. We love this site because it showcases such a unique, diverse range of products and picks out pieces we’d have never found elsewhere. They even offer free returns from anywhere across the globe!

I was sure I’d find something suitable Farfetch, and I wasn’t disappointed. I immediately fell in love with this Rick Owens blazer, £912 – it’s understated yet seriously smart. I also love the Rick Owens leather jackets, click here to buy rick owens leather jacket from

The L.A designer has the last word in nostalgic, glamorous grunge – a look that’s been huge this year and shows no signs of disappearing. This cotton and wool jacket shows off Owen’s flair for subtle detail, elevating his designs to a whole new level – I particularly love the high vent at the rear.

This would look great with an Alexander McQueen t-shirt, skinny jeans and Balmain sneakers.  Speaking of footwear, these shiny leather Vivienne Westwood brogues, £249, caught my eye on Farfetch too. The minimal panel design and punch-hole detail will never date, and if you look closely you can just make out those iconic orbs. They may be expensive, but you’re getting plenty of bang for your buck with these beauties.

Over at our old faithful Selfridges, the shelves are fit to burst with gorgeous AW12 designs. I love buying cosy knits to see me through the chillier months, so I thought it would be nice to get my boyfriend one too. I found this adorable dinosaur intarsia jumper, £450, in Jill Sander – perfect if your partner’s a big kid at heart. Made in Italy from a camel and wool-blend, this luxurious piece will add fun to an off-duty outfit.

Surfing I came across Touche Eclat for men, £25.50, by Yves Saint Laurent. When we’ve had a heavy night out, my boyfriend has been known to complain about how I get to cover my dark circles with make up while menfolk must soldier on barefaced – maybe this will keep him quiet!

It’s not often that I go shopping without popping into Burberry, but I usually pay little attention to the Menswear section. I had fun checking out the AW12 collection on Mr Porter finally picking out this slate grey formal shirt, £175 – it’s razor sharp, but could be dressed down with a soft double-breasted cardigan.
