Alex Monroe For Penhaligon’s Peoneve
British jewellery designer Alex Monroe has created two exclusive pieces to coincide with the launch of Penhaligon’s gorgeous new fragrance ‘Peoneve‘. The FashionBite team have been hooked on Peoneve since we were lucky enough to visit the Penhaligon’s Terrace on Harvey Nichol’s Fifth Floor, so when we heard the news we just had to see the collection for ourselves…
This isn’t the first time Monroe and Penhaligon’s have teamed up. Back in 2009, the much-lauded designer created a quirky but very wearable collection for the launch of ‘Amaranthine’. Now, the designer famed for his affinity with nature (he’s responsible for the notable Bumblebee pendant on everyone’s Christmas list) is chanelling the soft, delicate Peony.
The limited edition collection, which expertly captures the essence of the flower’s stunning foliage, comprises a peony necklace and earrings available in silver or gold. The set artfully compliments the fragrance of Peoneve, a heady blend of peony, Bulgarian rose and hedione that was inspired by an English garden in summertime.
Speaking of the exciting collaboration, Monroe revealed: “Peonies have always been a favourite of mine but I’ve found them impossible to make. Too many petals!
So when Penhaligons asked me to come up with something based on the peony I was rather nervous, but it was a challenge I rather relished… I haven’t been beaten yet! It took three or four attempts to get it right. I’m very pleased with the result.”
And so are we!
