Lee Miller’s ‘Dr. Robert’ Inspired Lounge Wear

Lee Miller’s ‘Dr. Robert’ Inspired Lounge Wear

Lee Miller will be launching their SS13 luxury lounge wear line during London Fashion Week, in a salon-style presentation.

Edie Sedgwick’s effortless style in John Palmer’s 1972 avant garde film ‘Ciao Manhattan’ is the inspiration behind the collection. The dark, bizarre film saw the young star become dependent on New York physician Dr. Robert’s daily Vitamin Amphetamine shots, and in similar style, Lee Miller hopes to inject timeless luxury into the lives of its customers.

Capturing the essence of excitement delivered by the ‘health boosts’, Miller hopes to deliver the overwhelming happiness felt by Edie in the movie to those who purchase items from the collection. Beautiful fabrics such as matte jersey, double-faced cashmere and delicate taffeta will feature, as well as an assortment of exotic skins including crocodile and python.

The collection captures the dangerous, alluring aspects of addiction and fame – a darkly fabulous concept. The launch is on the 16th September – we’ve had a sneak preview, and can safely safe it is to die for… buy if you dare!
