PREVIEW: Lazy Oaf & Kickers To Collaborate for SS13!
After this summer’s awful weather records, we are already looking forward to next year, hoping that 2013 will be the season of the sun. Yet there is another reason to be looking forward, as very exciting news just in: Lazy Oaf will be collaborating with Kickers for a five piece showcase of crazily designed footwear for SS13.
The collection will work with the Kickers silhouette but use the creative print and ideas of Lazy Oaf to create something extremely special for both brands. Pieces will include the ‘Kick Lazy Brogue’ with a removable fringe and bow, the ‘Kick Lazy Dotty’ (Lazy Oaf’s pink and white dot printed on the kicker hi boot) and not forgetting the ‘Kick Lazy Glitter’. Each pair will be limited to just 500 available to buy, starting from £100 and will include the iconic smiley face Lazy Oaf fleurette and co-branded sock print…what’s not to love?!
It seems like a partnership made in a British cool land, somewhere far, far away, where Ian Brown tends to the fields and Katie Grand is the milk maid. Kickers, the footwear cult that were attached permanently to many feet during primary school, taking them right through to grimy club nights some fifteen years later. Lazy Oaf are a wonderfully animated, bright and brashly fun brand on the British highstreet that works with quirky graphics and interesting visuals to create inspiring pieces which are then splashed across various garments, that puts the ‘Wow’ in street factor.
Now, only a year to wait….
But until then, gorge yourself on this psychedelic, smiley cartoon cropped shirt from the Lazy Oaf AW12 range, available now for £60. A full-blown feast of a pattern. It should keep you warm and fuzzy inside until next year, enjoy!
