Scent of Departure – City In A Perfume
While some of you are currently packing your bags ready to set sail to sunnier climes many (FashionBite included) are already suffering what we like to call the post-holiday or no-holiday blues.
Thank goodness for Scent of Departure, a new line of holiday-inspired fragrances that has bottled the scents of some of the best-loved holiday destinations in the world, letting you revisit favourite holiday memories with just a spritz.
The collectable perfumes have been created using fragrances synonymous with some of the world’s most visited cities. Created by Magali Senequier and Gerald Ghislain (founders of the label Histoire de Parfums) the scents have been marketed as ‘a passport to revisit each city without even packing a bag’.
Loved Bali? Remind yourself of the sun-kissed mandarin and fresh lemon sparkle aromas of the Ayung River. Or if it’s Central Park you’re longing to re-visit take a whiff of the floral and fruity New York. The range covers 20 cities in total including London (thankfully not taking too much inspiration from our fragrant river) Paris, LA, Milan, Singapore and many more.
Best of all each bottle is designed to look like a luggage tag on its way to your chosen destination, complete with barcode and IATA code letters and a narrative paragraph on the back of the bottle to remind readers of the city.
The range is available for £35 a bottle exclusively at Harvey Nichols, so wherever you left your heart, there’s a good chance you’ll find it again this summer.
