HOUSE OF JAM at Garden Festival, Croatia
Firstly, what needs to be clarified is Garden Festival in Croatia….WOW WOW WOW! Seven days of stunning surroundings, outstanding musical adventures (and outfits to match!), with the town of Tisno being all about the accessories this season…
Set in the backdrop of the Adriatic sea, stonewall buildings, family run taverns and hypnotising sunsets that you could literally fall into, looking out onto the horizon from the daily boat party platform, Garden was all about the feel-good factor.
Taxi boats dropped you to the festival site (our very own St Tropez speed boat) which had a beach cocktail bar and dance floor set in the rippling waters, a main stage with sand you could squelch your brightly coloured toes into whilst ‘having it’ to disco, mesmerizing house and a touch of UK garage. With only 2000 festival tickets available, it meant the restaurant on site always had a table available for that all important calamari and bottle or two of Prosecco.
The fabulous House of Jam label, which consists of Jazz Modu and Hayley Meredith (pictured top), who handpick and rework stunning one-off vintage pieces to sell online, were also spotted.
Dramatic navel skimming silver slatted necklaces, romantic kimonos and amazing two piece (high waisted, batty rider) wonders were out in force and made everyone else’s choice look mundane in comparison. Bringing their flair of London/Berlin cool to the picturesque setting, they dressed the dazzling Danielle Moore – singer to highlight act of the festival, the shimmering, deep electronic throbs of Crazy P.
Bellowing sheer sleeves, a faux-leather playsuit with a peter pan collar, detailed with the House of Jam studs-of-the-moment, took the outfit to sensational strobe stage heights. Danielle moved, sang and danced the body-tingling night away in an outfit that fitted her personality and groove to an absolute art form.
Did I mention how much I love Garden Festival….?
