Beauty Essentials to See You Through Festival Season in Style
- Festival season kicked off over the weekend with Love Box in Victoria Park. To mark the start of our favourite time of year, FashionBite has put together a list of festival beauty must-haves to see you through even the muddiest weekend…
1.Dry Shampoo
Nothing beats the feeling of freshly washed hair, unfortunately at most festivals where not only showers but hairdryers and styling tools are pretty much unheard of a can of dry shampoo is a must. Keep your hair looking (almost) clean for just £2 with Batiste Dry Shampoo, now in a range of colours and fragrances.
2.Black Eye liner
A bit of smudging is hardly a faux-pas when it come to festival chic, but if you want to make it through a whole weekend invest in a good waterproof eyeliner. For me it has to be Mac’s Fluidline in Blacktrack (£14) which has proven on numerous occasions to be pretty much smudge free, even the morning after.
3.Face wipes
Speaking of forgetting to take off make up…try not to. While many beauty experts disapprove of face-wipes having a pack with you will make removing make up less of a chore. Limit the damage a long weekend can do to skin with multi-purpose wipes like Johnson’s Dreamy Skin 3in1 Facial Night Wipes, £3.05 from Superdrug.
4.Bright lips
This summer is all about bright and bold lips but spending days outside with little protection from wind, rain and maybe even shine it won’t take long for striking lips to lose their impact. Try a lip stain like Revlon’s Just Bitten to avoid smudging, bleeding and constant touch ups!
5. Deodorant/Perfume
It’s no good worrying about aesthetics if you smell like a festival. Make sure you pack deodorant (sprays tend to be most effective in extreme situations.) Perfume might seem a little redundant, but just in case fill a perfume atomizer with your signature scent before you leave, you never know when you might need it.
