I have to say, I’m not a fan of Valentine’s Day – being forced to show someone you love them with over-priced chocolates and cards (along with the rest of the country). To be honest, it’s the same reason I’m not a big fan of New Year’s Eve…it just feels too forced. 

However, I could be persuaded with this gorgeous fuscia pink leather ‘Love Notes’ envelope from luxury brand Thomas Lyte (£78). As a place to stash love letters, it harks back to a pre online era when letter writing was the modus-operandi for courtship. It would be quite an indulgent gift, but it would look fabulous in my new antique Victorian dressing table (a joint gift from my boyfriend and his Mum for Christmas…I love it!)
