Camellia's Tea House, Carnaby Street

I’m sure many of you will be out shopping this week/weekend for Christmas presents and with all the offers out there, it’s worth leaving things until the last minute! If you’re looking for something a bit different though this year, FashionBite has picked out a few stores in London which are not on the high street and definitely worth a look…

Camellia's Tea House, FashionBite 2Camellia’s Tea House, Kingly Court, Carnaby Street

This wonderful exotic tea rooms is based in Kingly Court, about half way down Carnaby Street, on the second floor. It sells over 70 different types of teas and herbal infusions and the teas are blended by hand using the company’s own unique recipes. The brand says: “Tea is similar to wine, teas produced by different estates have specific “vintages” and differing levels of quality depending on which leaves are harvested during the production process.” The packaging is as beautiful as the product and you can buy all the lovely accompaniments; including tea strainers and cups/saucers to make the perfect Christmas gift for any tea lover!

Thomas Lyte, FashionBiteThomas Lyte, Burlington Arcade, Mayfair

This luxury leather goods and silversmiths retailer is tucked away down the fabulous Burlington Arcade in Mayfair. The English brand has one of the largest silver workshops in London, alongside creating bespoke leather goods and handbags. Pop down to the store and browse its range of stunning silver or silver plated cufflinks, which come in classic styles or sporting themes – such as golfing or aviation. The shop has a huge range of gifts, with a range of price points, and the leather and silverware can all be customised with someone’s initials or name.

Miller Harris, FashionBiteMiller Harris, Bruton Street, Mayfair

Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Bond Street, this store is definitely worth a visit for those beautifully packaged and wonderfully scented Christmas presents. Brimming full of gorgeous gift ideas, from candles to moisturisers and perfumes, it has recently added olive oils and jams to the mix (amongst other things) and is a great place to pick up that gift with a difference.
