Marc Jacobs to replace John Galliano at Dior?

Marc Jacobs to replace John Galliano at Dior?

Marc Jacobs, has reported claims from Brazilian website Glamurama that Marc Jacobs is to move over from luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton to replace designer John Galliano at Christian Dior.

The website says that Jacobs has been in close talks with Dior in recent weeks. It even suggests that the designer could oversee both Louis Vuitton and Christian Dior…although this seems unlikely.

Having a Marc Jacobs association would be good for the brand, which has been rocked considerably by the Galliano scandal. The designer was reported to have made racist slurs at a group of people in a bar in Paris.

I’d love to see Jacobs take the helm at Christian Dior, with his fashion forward collections and strong vision I think he’d be a good successor to Galliano.

Last month, rumours were circulating that Galliano could be designing a range for Topshop, see FashionBite’s post for details…but nothing has been announced as yet!
