Black Swan, the new film starring Natalie Portman as a professional ballerina, hotly tipped to sweep-up at The Oscars this year, has inspired a raft of ballet-inspired fashion looks.

Personally, tutu skirts, tulle dresses and baby pink are not my thing- but why not take the style and make it yours?

I picked up some fab chunky knitted legwarmers from Tightsplease in black (only £3.99!) and have been wearing them over 10 Denier Wolford hold-ups or tights.

Team legwarmers with nude Wolford’s for a more ‘ballet’ look or black hold-ups for that slightly grungy feel…the tights are so thin that it has the apperance of leg warmers over ballet tights.

I am loving leg warmers at the moment and teamed over tights they’re also tres warm!
