Colour riot for autumn spills over into make-up
One thing’s for sure, we’re going to see a lot of colour this autumn/winter.
Colour was everywhere at the a/w ’10 Fashion Weeks in February/March, from Stella McCartney, Jonathan Saunders, Peter Pilotto and Balenciaga to Marni, Valentino and Versace who all rocked bold acid brights and statement shades.
At the Couture shows in Paris this week, John Galliano for Christian Dior (above) showcased an explosion of colour on the catwalk with a garden themed collection. The clothing looked stunning but I absolutely loved the make-up (below)…
Bold, colourful statement eyes are set to be a key make-up trend for autumn/winter ’10.
Clashing eyeshadows in bright acid colours with a two-tone futuristic style band, complemented by dark berry lips looked fabulous at Dior.
To tone it down, why not pick just one bright eyeshadow and style with berry lips? Alternatively, choose a coloured eye pencil to give you that lift? Mac has some gorgeous ones to choose from.
