Glassworks Studios- new fashion website launches
Glassworks Studios is a cool, new, contemporary fashion/ lifestyle website which has just launched on the scene.
The boutique stocks around 20 designers and has already secured a host of UK exclusives, such as Canadian designer Erin Kleinberg and New York designer Loeffler Randall.
The website offers a mix of contemporary fashion brands, as well as travel and design inspiration. It is simple, easy to navigate and offers a fresh, uncluttered presentation. Alongside fab, new fashion labels- it also stocks accessories and stationery, such as traveller’s notebooks.
Glassworks Studios is the brainchild of Lauren Lewis, an ex-investment banker in New York, Tokyo, London and Dubai who envisioned a stylish, online boutique aimed at the time-conscious, professional woman. She drafted in former Harvey Nichols fashion buyer Damien Paul as buying director, who has helped create a website focused on ‘style, quality and service’.
Lauren says: “We are really excited to cater for the women who want to shop in a chic environment with thoughtful pricing, something difficult to find in the flooded luxury and high street domains. By cherry picking the best contemporary collections and offering them a space that balances escapism with practical and engaging editorial, we hope to become a trusted go-to destination…”
Sitting at premium to bridge-level designer it nestles alongside the likes of My-Wardrobe.com, rather than a more high end Net-a-Porter, with pricepoints ranging from around £60 to £600.
Lauren says she plans to double the number of labels on offer for autumn/winter.
I love the site’s elegant simplicity and the fact it’s offering new, niche New York brands as UK exclusives. A great way to discover some new labels at affordable pricepoints.
