REVIEW: Algenist Reveal Colour Correcting Radiant Primer

REVIEW: Algenist Reveal Colour Correcting Radiant Primer

Following on from my 2-Step Facial For Sensitive Skin review, using Balance Me products, I’ve also started using Algenist’s Colour Correcting primer and it has been really good to help hide redness on my face.

I was given the primer at an Algenist launch event recently and have been using it after moisturising in the mornings, as a base before my foundation. It’s been great at smoothing over the uneven colour on my face. Often when I’m out and about with my daughter in the daytime, I’ll just apply the primer and my normal foundation (By Terry Anti-Wrinkle Serum Foundation) and that will be enough just to give my skin a little lift without applying a whole face of make-up.

Algenist use microalgae in their products, which was explained to me by one of the product developers as being “able to survive and thrive in the harshest of conditions, with incredible protecting and nourishing properties.” After discovering the power of this natural product, the San Francisco-based firm went on to research how it would deliver anti-ageing properties and revolutionised the skincare industry as a result. They now use microalgae in all their skincare products.
