Home Hair Dye Disasters? We’ve Found The Perfect Solution!

Your Colour at FashionBite 1

We’ve all been there. You’ve followed the instructions, massaged in with gloves/ brushes, left on for the optimum time but still your hair turns a funny shade of green following a disastrous home hair dye attempt.

I have been there many, many times which is why I don’t leave my locks to chance and have opted for the hairdressers ever since. However, London hair salon Your Colour has come up with the genius solution to solve all home hair dye disasters…and at a fraction of the cost of the hairdressers!

Hair stylist team Brent and Miranda set up Your Colour to offer clients the chance to have a salon professional consultation at home and for just £16.20. Miranda said: “We wanted to take the fear out of home colour and give people the opportunity to get great results without having to pay salon prices.”

All you need to do is book in a consultation online, at a time convenient for you and via SKYPE or Facetime one of the hair stylists will call back and discuss your hair needs, whilst being able to see your hair. I spoke with the delightful Miranda via SKYPE and we opted for a mid-chestnut brown semi-permanent tint with reddy tones, which she thought would suit my hazel eyes and more olive complexion better.

She was absolutely spot on and I really loved the colour. I’ve tried dying my hair dark at home before but I’ve always opted for colder, harsher browns, which often left my skin looking pasty and washed out – so finally having the advice of a professional on the shade of colour to pick was brilliant.

A few days later I received my beautifully packaged hair dye kit, with a colour which had been uniquely mixed for me, complete with full instructions, a mixing bag, brush and gloves. After years of bad home dye stories, I finally had one to be proud of…and even the boyfriend noticed!
