Day 3 at London Fashion Week played host to an abundance of fantastic catwalk collections. Two favourites (which I watched live stream) were Marios Schwab and Louise Gray…
For autumn/winter ’12, Marios Schwab celebrated the “lady” – with a nod to the siren – in a collection featuring strong structured silhouettes, accompanied by beautiful wide brimmed and 1920’s style hats.
He also played with the idea of looking “through the window of the woman” later in the collection with more revealing textured pieces and embellished lace dresses.
I absolutely love the work of designer Louise Gray. I’ve seen her shows for the last few seasons (when she showed with OnOff). She is so fresh, colourful and exciting…and her AW12 collection did not disappoint!
Her amazing use of clashing textures and bold colours this season had a distinctively punk-tribal feel, complete with Mohican hair pieces and statement accessories.
