Ren: Beauty products fit for first class!

Ren skincare, FashionBiteMy friend, who flies first-class a lot more than I do, recently brought me back some in-flight beauty goodies to compensate for my unfortunate economy-class habit.

Zipped inside the luxury goodie bag was a skincare brand called Ren, and after sampling a pot of Calendula-Hydra-Calm Moisturiser and tube of Matte Balancing Fluid I was hooked…

The brand has since become part of my daily skincare regime, thanks to the velvety feel it gives my skin.

It has also become part of the skincare regimes of my friends and family, who have since received pots of Ren products for celebrations including Mothers’ Day, birthdays and an engagement.

Although I have only recently found the brand, Ren has, in fact, been around for over a decade. It was founded by ex-brand consultants Robert Calcraft and Antony Buck in 2000, when Buck’s wife fell pregnant, and began reacting badly to her usual skincare products.

Calcraft and Buck say their ‘hi tech’ products are formulated with cutting edge ingredients that are free from all “the skin-unfriendly products routinely used in the skincare industry”.

Buck adds: “With Ren you can have the best of both worlds – products that really work and the comfort of knowing that you’re avoiding the chemical nasties.”

In May, the natural skincare brand will launch its new Radiance and Renewal range. The collection consists of products including a cleaning polish, brightening concentrate and perfecting serum.
