Fullcircle’s senior designer Tara Hettiarachchi gave Fashionbite a guided tour of the brand’s new Christmas collection, which features around 20 lines.

Tara said that she, along with creative director Hina Rahman, wanted to create an easy-wearing collection, which women could wear from work to bar… to party.

The range features a variety of boob-tube dresses and silky shifts. Other lines have a sportier feel, such as the jogger -style trousers.

Tara said she wants shoppers to mix these styles with more structured lines in the range, like tailored jackets.

I loved Fullcircle’s new green and blue oil-slick prints. The brand, known for its patterns, has strayed away from traditional Christmas colours with the collection to give consumers a bit more variety this festive season.

As Fullcircle is usually only stocked in department stores, it was great to see the brand’s full clothing collection in one place, at its flagship, and only stand-alone store, in London’s Covent Garden. When all the lines are viewed together, the brand has a more vibrant and younger feel than I expected.

Creative director Hina Rahman told FashionBite that the Christmas collection gives shoppers a taste of what’s to come for spring and summer.

Hina added that for the first time, this year the brand’s trouser lines had proved as popular as its dresses. She hinted that consumers can expect to see even greater variety of trouser lines and cuts in its 2011 collection.

Senior designer Tara, who has worked closely with Hina on the collection, said that the spring and summer collection would have an effortless, sexy, relaxed feel, mixing sporty lines with sharp tailoring, in a range of pastel colours.  We look forward to seeing it!
